Jessica Ennis has revealed that her next career move could be in fashion.
Speaking to CITY AM's Bespoke magazine, the gold medallist said: "I'd love to start my own fashion label," adding, "I adore Victoria Beckham and Alexander McQueen."
She prefers her fashion favourites home-grown, then.
Right after her success at the Summer Games, Jess went onThe Jonathan Ross Showin a black and gold dress by Mrs Beckham and was later pictured out in a salmon-coloured fit and flare dress by McQueen. At the time she told Vogue: "I met Sarah Burton a couple of years ago, so I had a connection to McQueen already. Then they offered to lend me some dresses after the Olympics and she sent all of these lovely things to me."
Perhaps a designer collaboration is in her future - or at the very least, a few campaigns. Judging by her Olympic performance, Jess won't be venturing into this half-heartedly.
CITY AM's Bespoke is available this week.
