Behind The Scenes: Florence Welch's Coachella Look New!

Florence Welch is one of the biggest musical icons on the planet right now - so it's little wonder that when we caught up with Hannah Marshall, the hot young British designer tasked with creating the singer's Swarovski-studded stage outfit for Coachella, she was feeling a little breathless today.

"Florence commanded the night-time stage and absolutely owned the outfit - she really worked with it as she moved around dramatically, enchanting the crowd with her magical performance," Hannah told us of The Big Moment. "She ended the set with No Light No Light, which is not only one of my favourite tracks from the Ceremonials album, but the lyrics were the key ones behind the inspiration and concept - a contradiction of what I wanted to create with the Swarovski crystal and intense stage lighting. So, it worked perfectly!"

Of course, Hannah is no stranger to working with the singer; she was the fashion mind behind the velvet catsuit Florence wore for the Cosmic Love artwork, and her signature Trapeze dress features in the music video for Drumming. The mood boards and initial sketch for Coachella she shared with us demonstrate the work that goes into creating just one look - but, as Hannah explains, it's no hardship.

"It was a thrill to create Florence's costume for her headlining performance at Coachella. The SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS added an intense, three-dimensional depth that could only be achieved through crystal. I incorporated midnight navy Swarovski crystals into the sleek stretch velvet bodysuit and silk chiffon cape so an array of shades sparkled when the light reflected during her performance."

She's got the love - and so, we confess, do we.
